Call for nominations for a Virtual International Dressage Competition. You could represent Australia on your own horse!Pony Club Australia are excited to be a part of an opportunity for members to take part in an International Virtual Dressage Competition alongside members from other Pony Club International Alliance (PCIA) countries (Hong Kong, USA, Canada, UK, NZ, South Africa).There are five classes and PCA will select four competitors for each class from nominations received via an online form by midnight, Sunday, 6 June, 2021. Selection will be based on the horse’s past results and the rider’s highest current proficiency certificate. Riders who are selected will THEN be required to submit a video entry. COVID-19 UPDATE – 27 MAY 202111:59PM THURSDAY, 27 MAY 2021 TO 11.59PM ON THURSDAY, 3 JUNE 2021The Victorian State Government announced today, 27 May 2021, that a circuit breaker state-wide lockdown will be in place for 7 days, in an effort to contain the current outbreak of COVID-19. Unfortunately, this means all Pony Club activities and events across the State must be cancelled or postponed until at least Friday, 4 JUNE 2021. Further advice on how Pony Club activities/events can recommence will be communicated after the lockdown period ends.WHAT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE FOR THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD?Victorians will only be able to leave their homes for one of the listed reasons:shopping for necessary goods and services (one person per household, once per day, a support person can accompany if required)caregiving or compassionate reasonsauthorised work or permitted education, or work interstateexercise (up to two hours, with one other person or members of your household)receive a vaccinationother specified reasons (specific exemptions apply)MASKS & TRAVELfive-kilometre travel radius from your residencemasks must be worn everywhere in public.HOW DOES LOCKDOWN AFFECT YOUR EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES?For the period of the lockdown:Care of horses - you may leave home to care for your horse if necessary including exercise for welfare reasons.Carry proof that you are travelling to your horse in case you are checked by police.
